1. Buying an existing network

You inherit the domains, the content, the entire link history, and every prior mistake. Diligence is heavy: registrar and hosting transfer paths, archived history per domain, current indexation status, existing outbound link patterns, and whether the seller retains copies of the network for resale.

• Verify indexation for every domain independently before purchase.
• Require registrar transfer, not account access handover.
• Assume any outbound links already placed are visible to whoever looks.
• Price in a full infrastructure migration; the seller's hosting arrangement is rarely one you want to keep.

2. Buying expired or auctioned domains

3. Buying PBN links

Here you own nothing. You rent a placement on someone else's site, alongside placements sold to others, with no control over how many links the page eventually carries or whether the site survives. This is the option with the least control and the most direct exposure to link-scheme policy.

4. Commissioning a setup service

A provider builds a network to your specification. Ask precisely who holds the registrar accounts, who holds hosting accounts, whether templates and plugin stacks are reused across clients, and what happens to your sites if the relationship ends. Reused templates across a provider's client base is a shared footprint you did not agree to.

5. Buying hosting and management
